Answer: 
Grainger has contacted the product supplier and have been advised by them of the following: depending on what you are vacuuming up is going to determined how often the filter needs to be changed. Also depending on what you are vacuum up will determined whether or not you can just dump tank in the trash. You might want to talk to your local epa department if you are picking up hazardous material on how you need to dispose of the tank contents.
