Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Power at 9,500 feet of elevation The Ariens Single Stage 208cc Snow Blower is the best Single Stage we have ever used. I have a snow Removal company in Summitt County Colorado we can get up to 500 inches of snow per Season. We remove snow from several decks on houses and Single Stage Snow throwers are the only way to go. Over the years I have purchased several other brands of snow throwers and non of them have ever worked as well as the 208 Path Pro. I always thought The Toro was the best until I tried the Ariens 208. Its 4 stroke motor always start even when it tis below 0 degrees, on the first pull. It will remove 12" of wet spring time snow at a normal walking pace. Most of the time I can walk behind using one hand and I never have to lift up on the handle like all my old Toros. Next year we will have retired all the Toros and we will only be using the Ariens Single Stage for all of our Decks and Side walks. I can clear 12" of snow off a 600 Sq' Deck in less than 10 minutes or less. The power from this motor seems to be much more than an average sized motor. We also have the same Snow Thrower in the 136cc motor and it is about equal with its performance. We will be buying more next year because it makes Deck snow removal simple and fun. Very simple design nothing fancy to break. March 8, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by So far, so good This is my first season with the new Pro Path. It hasn't been a bad winter but with the 4-5 times I've used it, its worked beautifully. I can't comment on durability just yet but Ariens is a well trusted brand. It just sliced through the 10 inches of snow we received yesterday in the east. It is fairly simple to start and has always started for me on the first pull. I know someone else with the electric start and he doesn't think its worth the extra $. However, f you have trouble pulling an engine cord, that would be recommended. It swipes fairly clean in my opinion. We live adjacent to a main road so they always plow nasty snow into our driveway. Wet and icy snow is not an issue for this machine. Set-up was easy and the Ariens brand is easily the most aesthetically pleasing with the Orange & Black. Save yourself the time researching because I already did. Buy this! March 6, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Outstanding performance We have had unending snow storms this year (2015) here in PA. My new Ariens 938031 SS21 has exceeded my expectations of a single stage snow thrower. The 208CC engine provides enough power to handle various depths of snow and even performs well in wet snow. Far better than my previous small engine yard machine. It's a joy not having to use an oil-gas mix. Easily stored. I use the thrower to clean not only my small driveway and parking spaces but also the driveways and parking spaces of my two neighbors. Would highly recommend this thrower. March 6, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by very good product well worth the money Easy to start . Plenty of power. Even throw slush well. Never clogged March 5, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great so far I totally agree with the other reviews I read before making my purchase. It starts easily with just one easy pull. The one thing I was most pleased and surprised about was that it was able to throw 3 to 4 inches of slushy snow without jamming once. My only regret is that north Idaho had so little snow this year I was not able to use it as much as I wanted to. Thanks Ariens for making such a great, easy to use product! March 5, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Powerful yet easy to use This is a well made, reliable unit that is very easy to start-even for someone with back and neck issues like me! The machine is very easy to push and ate through 2 ft drifts and heavier snow like a hot knife through butter. March 5, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Moves deep snow quickly ! I am looking at over 14 ins. of snow right now... Two weeks ago we had the same... I expect this snow blower to move the snow quickly and doing a good job... It does as good as larger 2 stage snow blowers... I had 2 of them in the snow belt in Indiana... I was ready to move the usual 4 -6 inches we get at the most.... I was so surprised to see the heavy snow we have received, but no problem with this snow blower doing its job.... March 5, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great bang for buck ... excellent snow blower! I've used this machine in everything from 2" to 10" storms, wet and dry snows ... worked excellent in all! Convenient maintenance panel for easy access to fuel, oil, plug, etc also makes this blower easy to maintain. Works as good or better than most 2-stage blowers I've owned. March 5, 2015
