Rated 5 out of 5 by THANKFUL FOR MY ARIENS SNOWBLOWER! Winter is FINALLY over here in Ohio and I am SO thankful for having the foresight to purchase my Ariens snow blower before Thanksgiving last year. For the past couple years our Ohio winters have been as bad as ever in my lifetime. I had decided to be prepared this winter for old man winter and Ariens helped me do just that. When I picked up my new Ariens snow blower still in the box all I had to do was take it out of the box and install the handle. It has an electric start which is literally a life saver at my age. The directions were entirely easy to follow. I am SO, SO happy for my new Ariens snow blower I am ALMOST looking forward to next winter. Well....... almost. Let me enjoy the warm sunshine, BBQ and the smell of fresh cut grass this summer first after which I will definitely be ready to take on old man winter head to head next winter. Thanks Ariens for producing a well built snow blower I can be proud of for a number of winters to come. April 25, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by nice unit The snow thrower has gone thru as much as I can give it. Only issue was the gas this year even though I used Stabil, but good unit April 3, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great snowblower! I only had to use the snow blower 3 times this winter, but each time it did an excellent job. The electric start was nice when the temperature was near the 0 mark. No sore shoulders here! March 16, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by SMALL ENOUGH FOR A 53YR OLD PETITE LADY BUT.... Sometimes it starts sometimes it doesn't. Seems that it overheats and I have to try to start the darn thing again about 15-30 minutes after. The gas cap falls inside thank goodness it is attached with a cord. And where you have to poor the oil in is awkward to get to. And it seems like it doesn't go far down enough to get the snow. I snow blow once then have to go back around and get the rest.I wish you had a buyback program I would return it! March 12, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by good snow thrower I purchased this unit as a replacement for an old MTD single stage thrower. While this unit has more power and ability to "throw" farther, I liked the MTD better because the chute control was a crank at the operators handle. With the Ariens, you must stop, walk to the side of the unit, swing the chute in the proper direction, then back to the control lever. Each pass this must be repeated. I would like to see that feature incorporated in the next generation. Other than that, the unit performs well, starts on first pull (tried the electric start and that was fine too), and throws even the most wet sloppy snow that nature can toss your way. March 11, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Does what I needed for a small blower Overall, its okay. Like the small size to fit through the doorway. A little harder to start than anticipated. Taking a lot more pulls on the cord and pressing the priming pump. Have not tried the electric start yet but would recommend. Wife can use but cannot start by pull cord. Needs a short warm up time. Need to hang on to the handle as it pulls a little. Chute turns stiffy, will try some lube. Balance okay. March 9, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Generally a good snowblower for light/medium duty. This is a good snow blower for light/medium duty. I have used it numerous times on a large driveway and it makes me glad I purchased it every time I use it. The only issue I have had with it is that it is not quite powerful/large enough to throw heavy wet snow. We've had ten or twelve snowfalls since I purchased it and there were only two for which this snowblower proved insufficient. March 6, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very satisfied Have used 2 seasons now with no problems. Starts easily when primed and choke is set correctly. Pull start works well also. Throws snow and leaves pavement clean. March 6, 2015
