Rated 5 out of 5 by Best leak detector ever! I own Sniffers and others leak detectors. I bought the amprobe ultrasonic detector and I absolutely love this detector. Is by far the best leak detector ever. Takes a little time to get use to the sound but when you know what to listen for watch out. You will be amaze want you can do with this detector. Works great when you have a tire that you can't find why you keep loosing air . Give this leak detecto a chance you will never go back to Other detectors. Never have to change a sensor again. I works by sound! I highly recomended this Get it! December 8, 2012

Answer:
Grainger has contacted the product supplier and has been advised by them of the following: The TMULD-300 tests pressurized air lines, refrigeration systems, and steam lines for leaks. There is no distance specification, as this can vary, and is dependent on many factors.
