Answer: 
Spec says non-rated commercial use - so my advice would be not to use this in commercial construction. Hilti makes a great fire rated foam - but you should to be licensed or at least trained to use it. We've tried other foam products - and the AHJ has had us remove it.

Answer: 
According to the manufacturer, this foam may be used in applications where the hole size may be up to 3 inches or larger. As always you should adhere to building code standards for your area and follow the manufacturer guidelines regarding the limitations of the product. For larger areas, firestop pillows or some other device may be necessary.
