which ear muff?

Hi there, I'm looking for ear muffs to keep noisy neighbor sounds out when I'm studying - not sure if these are suitable or are they for loud sudden noises? My neighbor plays music & the radio loudly, and also drums sometimes so it's that kind of noise coming through walls I need to drown out rather than industrial noise. Ear plugs help but aren't good enough sometimes when he's drumming or when the radio is on loud and the DJ are talking and commercials are on.

Any advice about which type of ear muffs are suitable would be appreciated.

Many thanks

Answer:
Grainger has contacted the product supplier we and have been advised by them of the following: this particular ear muff has a noise reduction rating (NRR) of 30 decibels. This means it will reduce what you are hearing by 30 decibels. There are several ear plugs which will block out up to 33 decibels which is the highest level of protection. Examples would be 5FV14 or 1VJY1.
One alternative would be to wear an ear muff and an ear plug at the same time. Wearing dual protection will reduce your noise by an additional 5 decibels of the highest rating.
