Answer:
Grainger has contacted 3M the product manufacturer and has been advised by them of the following; When selecting a chemical cartridge for your sodium sulfide, 3M Mfg. has tested 2 cartridges for this chemical, their pn# 60922 which is Grainger pn# 4JG11 and 3M pn# 60923 which is Grainger pn# 4JG12. These air purifying chemical cartridges can be used on either a ½-mask or full face respirator in the 3M 6000 series or 7000 series line. The protection factor is 10X the OEL for the chemical sodium sulfide. This is given only with a proper fit test to the mask to assure a proper face to mask seal.
Fit testing should always be conducted to assure the end user is maintaining the proper fit for any tight fitting face-piece.
***If there is a presence of any other acids that could alter the sodium sulfide to hydrogen sulfide gas then you will need to contact Grainger for an appropriate chemical cartridge selection for hydrogen sulfide.***

Answer:
Grainger has contacted the product supplier and we have been advised by them of the following: in order to help you select the appropriate cartridge we would need to know exactly what you are working with. If you can provide additional information on inorganic material we would be glad to assist further with cartridge selection.
