Call2Recycle® Program

Recycle your rechargeable batteries and cell phones to help protect our environment.

Did You Know?
Grainger has recycled more than 50,000 pounds of batteries since 2007. That's equal to keeping the weight of 5 school buses out of community landfills.

Let’s Work Together to Protect Our Environment

Recycle your rechargeable batteries and cell phones to help protect our environment and conserve the Earth’s natural resources. It's easy! As a participant in the national Call2Recycle® program, your nearest Grainger branch offers free, in-branch recycling for rechargeable batteries and cell phones.

How Does Call2Recycle Work?

Customers deposit rechargeable batteries and cell phones in the Call2Recycle collection kits at Grainger branches. The recyclables are then shipped to a facility that melts them down and uses the metals to make new products.

Batteries We Accept
Rechargeable batteries may be found in:

  • Cordless power tools
  • Cellular and cordless phones
  • Digital cameras
  • Two-way radios
  • Camcorders
  • Remote control toys
  • And many more common items!

We will accept any rechargeable battery or cell phone that weighs 11 lbs. or less.

It’s Easy. Just Bag It, Seal It and Drop It!
You can find the Call2Recycle collection kit at any Grainger Branch location. Just place your battery into a provided, self-adhesive plastic bag and drop it into our box.
