What are some of the details?

  • Calibration is available for thousands of instruments and tools
  • Calibration can be done on any brand of instrument, including brands Grainger does not carry
  • Instruments do not need to be purchased from Grainger to use the calibration service
  • Three levels of calibration are available to meet different industry standards
  • Calibration can be performed on new items at time of purchase or on items you already own

What levels of calibration are available?

Standard Calibration without Data (Level 1) - Instrumentation is calibrated to manufacturer specifications with NIST-traceable standards in full compliance of ANSI Z540-1. If any measurement on the unit was found to be out of calibration the certificate would show the as found out of tolerance reading and the reading of the measurement after it was adjusted and calibrated.

Standard Calibration without Data (Level 2) - Instrumentation is calibrated to manufacturer specifications with NIST-traceable standards in full compliance of ANSI Z540-1. A complete data sheet will show the readings of each measurement point for each item calibrated, as it was found, whether in or out of tolerance and the reading as it was left.

ISO 17025 Accredited Calibration (Level 4) - Instrumentation is calibrated in accordance with ISO IEC 17025. A complete data sheet will show the readings of each measurement point for each item calibrated as it was found, whether in or out of tolerance and the reading as it was left, as well as the measurement uncertainties for all readings taken and reported.

All levels of calibration include a certificate.
