My father has a 2nd bathroom on the basement. He went to a plumbing store looking for a floor drain for the shower that will let water drain, but not let water enter the shower in the event of a sewer backup. The plumbing store said they did not carry the size he needed(2") , but for him to check online. Do you carry such a part or do you know what it is called? I am at a loss after searching for over 2 hours.

Answer:
Hello,
The device I know about is a "Backwater Valve" however it is not used in a branch line. It is used in the main line, and it will "shuttoff" the flow in the event of a back up in the sewer main. And I have never seen one in 2" sorry...
