Sump, Effluent and Sewage Pumps

Transfer blackwater to wastewater systems or away from low-lying areas by selecting a sump pump, effluent pump or sewage pump from Grainger. Grinder pumps reduce sewage to a finely ground slurry for pumping into elevated septic or sewer destinations. Similarly, a septic effluent pump moves septic fluids free of solids to a drain field with greater durability than a sump pump. Keep wastewater moving with the right pump from Grainger.

I would think a vacuum pump would be the best. Zoeller pumps get my vote, based on flawless performance experience during a major flood. The Zoeller pump I own was absolutely amazing.

Answer:
I would call zoeller directly and ask them for a recommendation. They have the answers because they manufacture the pumps. In the past, Zoeller float switches were not very good, but I bought an Effluent Zoeller pump with no switch and put on a vertical switch that has two floats within it in case one fails.

I ran a Zoeller sump pump for 5 days 24/7 wide open and it still runs well today. I am a fan of their pumps for this reason.

Answer:
For a pump in that situation, you may be interested in a gas powered trash pump such as item 11G237. If you feel that pump fits your needs, you can use a suction hose such as item 2P567, strainer number 5RWN6 which draws from the bottom, and a discharge line such as 1FYR3.

You will need to be careful when drawing up large debris and sticks, as this type of debris can damage the pump.

If not, what might you have to operate under water on 115VAC that will go in a 6" hole?
I need something that I can put down a 6" hole to pump water out of a basement well, that can be controlled automatically with a float (or something).
Thanks

The Teel 1P809A is discontinued. Please check out the Grainger item number 3P994 which is 4 3/4 inches wide and is computerized operation; run an automatic test cycle every 2 1/2 minutes. If 1 inch or more of water is detected, pumps draw down to 3/4 inch and return to test cycle.

I have 14 unit condo property with a 20 foot wide driveway 150 feet long. In the middle the driveway slopes and drains in a 36x36 inch vault with two pumps. The pumps are old and I can't tell what kind it is to replace. What I do know is it runs off a control panel with these specs.; "Furnas Peabody Barnes" Serial #65558, HP3, 230 volts, Phase 1. Which pump works off that?
