I've a fiberglass sailboat with several hatches in the cockpit. They need 1" strips of flat rubber under the hatch lids to seal the hatches from rain water when the fiberglass hatch lids are closed. I believe the old seals were about 3/16" thick. And what product would work well to waterproof glue them to the underside of these lids?

Some recommend closed cell foam with an adhesive backing, but I wonder how long these would hold up when compressed for long periods of time.... the hatches are sat on compressing the seals.

I have a ploly type plastic 5000 thousand gallon water used for fire protection. It has suffered a 4 to 5 in. Cut. I need replacement gaskets for a canister set. I would be willing to cut my own from a 3 mm sheet if pre cut 3.5" ID gaskets are not available. Food grade rubber or silicone are acceptable. Would be willing to buy as many as 100 at a time if they have a long shelf life.
