We have some hand tools (i.e. drills, sanders, routers) that need new plugs. We know they all need to have a 3 prong plug. What other specifications do we need to consider? Could you recommend a good quality industrial replacement plug that would work for most powered hand tools?

The current female plug is on the end of a live 120v/20a SO cord that is attached to the shore line of an ambulance. When attached to the ambulance, there is normally an arc as the line is powering a 12v battery trickle charger along with various other medical equipment ready chargers.

only complications is: electrical box is mounted horizontally, so the ground plug holes are on the left. Very inconvenient with heavy 3-prong cords. Is there an outlet that when mounted horizontally will have the ground-plug holes on the bottom ???
