Answer: 
Check out 2x547, feed thru switch. Only good for 3A, but is a basic feed thru switch if your fan is two wire, it should work.

To adequately and correctly identify the proper male plug for your needs, we will need to know the following: What is the Phase, Voltage, and Amperage requirements of the plug you need? If you are replacing an existing plug, do you have a make or model number? Is there a NEMA configuration?

The current female plug is on the end of a live 120v/20a SO cord that is attached to the shore line of an ambulance. When attached to the ambulance, there is normally an arc as the line is powering a 12v battery trickle charger along with various other medical equipment ready chargers.

The plug and socket supply power for a rear-mounted snow plow. The wires are heavy gauge, maybe #4 or #6.

only complications is: electrical box is mounted horizontally, so the ground plug holes are on the left. Very inconvenient with heavy 3-prong cords. Is there an outlet that when mounted horizontally will have the ground-plug holes on the bottom ???

More information is needed to answer your question. Here are some qualifying questions: What is the amperage rating of the window unit? What is the voltage the window unit requires? Is this an air conditioner? By "reset plug", do you mean a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) plug?
