Answer: 
Normally regular pipe fitting are NPT fittings and pipe is measured by the nominal inside diameter for the size of pipe.

I am trying to locate a Y-connection for the drainage system on my Kitchen's double sink. I saw a DYI or This Old House episode that showed the use of one in the installation of the drain. I can't locate this. Can anyone help me?

i asume i need a 1 1/4 inch expanding internal pipe wrench or something similar to get inside the threaded pipe to be able to remove it as I need it intact with the threaded bolt so that I can put it on the replacement radiator so that it can fit onto the steam pipe from the furnace. this is a steam heat system from i guess 1900 to 1910 in an 1841 house
