Grainger carries two oven rated lamps, 3VA53 and 1MM76. However the questions remain: What temperature is "a very hot area" and how are you defining "constantly"? If you call us at 800-323-0620, we can discuss your application to make sure you are getting into a lamp that best suits your application.

Answer:
There are dozens of lamps Grainger carries that could possibly be used in a walk-in freezer.

Not enough information about your application is provided for us to make an adequate product suggestion.

Are you replacing an existing lamp? If so, what is the make and model? What is the wattage rating your lamp needs to be? What is the length and diameter? What kind of pin configuration does the lamp holder have?

For further help, please contact us at 800-323-0620 and ask to speak with Grainger Technical Product Support for Lighting with as many answers to the above questions as you can find.

Answer:
We do not carry this particular item. If you have the specs of the bulb we can certainly try to cross reference to something that we carry. If you have a business account with Grainger, we can also try to special order that bulb direct from the vendor. Please give us a call at 800-323-0623 for further assistance.

Answer:
Without more information about the a) Lamp Tone, and b) the Lamp Base Configuration of the lamp you are trying to replace, we cannot be certain of any specific product suggestion that we could make to you. Not having a complete Make or Model Number of what you have now prevents us from reasearching those criteria.

For more detailed and accurate assistance to help you identify the proper 18 watt lamp you need, please contact us at 800-323-0620.

Answer:
The Quartz metal halide lamps may take up to 15-20 to restrike for a momentary power loss; this lamp is also commonly referred to as a probe start metal halide.

While the Pulse Arc metal halide lamps also contain a quarz arc tube, they produce a light with a higher CRI and require the use of an ignitor in the ballast to aid in start up. The start up time for the pulse arc lamps in a momentary power loss generally ranges from 5-10 minutes.

With a few exceptions, as of January 1, 2009, all new fixtures manufactured or imported are pulse arc, as required by 2005 lighting legislation.
