Answer:
The dimmer switch is leaking voltage, it wont show on a light bulb as it takes at least 25 to 30 volts for the bulb to light a little.
You need an LED dimmer or you would have to put some kind of load on the circuit, like a light bulb and a LED on the same dimmer.
The LED dimmers use a resister in the circuit witch sucks out the little bit of voltage that leaks and causes the LED's to glow.
Maybe a 5 to 10 volt leakage.

Answer:
According to one of our suppliers, because of the electronics within the fixture, the LED fixtures and accessories need to be recycled; however, the requirements vary by state. Our current recycle container supplier does not currently have any kits set up specifically for LED's yet. If you call us at 1-800-Grainger with the items you are looking at, we may be able to be more specific for you.

I have a client who has LED lighting in recessed cans in his home theater. He wishes to be able to dim the lights when watching TV and he currently has Lutron dimmers with remote control dimming capability. He would like the same for his LED lighting. Is there such a thing as a LED light switch style dimmer?
