I have F96T12 - 2 lamp channel strip fixtures that I would like to upgrade to high efficiency ballasts and bulbs. I was told there is a kit that contains hardware for converting the old F96T12 cans to 4ea 4 Ft bulbs, with high efficiency ballast(s). - Do you stock such an item?

Answer:
You are in need of LIghting Retrofit Kits. We have Lithonia Branded options for Strip Fixtures: 4KFT4 (Non-Reflector), 4KFT5(Speclar Reflector), and 4KFT6 (White Reflector). Ballasts and lamps are not included, but information about what is recommended can be found on Grainger.com's pages for those item numbers.

Cooper Lighting branded options include Grainger items: 22D067, 22D068, 22D069 and 22D070.

While none of our current offering of surface mount, lensed, lighting fixtures will accomodate a F15T12 lamp (of any quantity), we do have a strip fixture that will use a single F15T12 lamp - Item number 2UWR3.

Answer:
We are unfamiliar with a general regulation for covers on light fixtures. The regulations would be different for food processing areas compared to mechanical rooms. Your local inspector should be able to point you to any guiding regulations in your area and for your environment.
