I am worried about squirrels chewing on the 10 foot rubber hose that came with the grill and wanted to see if I could use a metal one. Grainger seems to sell many shorter ones that I could connect together to solve my problem but it's not clear which ones. Can anyone help?

Answer:
Hello,
That is a loaded question, generally PTFE is "Better" than EDPM in most instances. You will need to know a few more things Hot Concentrate, Cold Concentrate, percentages of concentration. All of those things can effect the material performance, so you will need to double check to be sure but in most instances PTFE will work.

I hope this answers your question, thanks for using Grainger Ask & Answer!

What type of hose and quick disconnects would be needed for natural gas for a BBQ, or other outdoor appliance? I need about 30 feet, and the pressure is whatever normal house pressure is after the gas meter.

Answer:
Hello,
Code only allows a 60" or 5' long hose for a Natural Gas appliance, you will have to hard pipe the gas closer to your appliance. You cannot use a hose that long, they do not make one. 4XR87 is a Natural gas hose kit

I hope this answers your question, thanks for using Grainger Ask & Answer!

Grainger offers a few options for this application. For example, part number 1WZC8 is designed for the 5/8’ copper pipe; this is not pre slit; part number 1WYE9 will be pre slit. Both have a ½” wall thickness. Please consider calling Grainger for more options. The phone number is 1-800-323-0620.
