Answers

Answer:
Please consider calling Grainger at 1-800-323-0620 to provide more detail concerning this application. When choosing any adhesive, it is important to identify the substances that are being bonded together. It is also important to determine the environment; meaning will this be exposed to sunlight (U.V.), temperature changes, various liquids and so forth.

Answer:
Please consider calling Grainger to provide more relevant details concerning this application. Keep in mind that we will need to know the actual substances that are going to be bonded, and the strength required. The environment of application is important. For example; temperatures, static or dynamic load, exposure to any solvents, water, ultra violet light and so forth. The phone number will be 1-800-323-0620; please request Technical Support for adhesives.

Answer:
I would recommend a plastic type adhesive such as epoxy. Make sure by testing a small area as you do not want any attack of the printed circuit. JB weld is metallic and may conduct.

1 Person needs an answerI have this question too

Answers

Answer:
Grainger has contacted the product supplier and has been advised by them of the following: Grainger offers a few versions of this from 3M; however, these will only be approved for use in an area where food is present. The FDA requires that there is a functional barrier, that the application is below 120 degrees F, and that the chemicals will not migrate above the 50 ppb level. Examples of this will be part numbers 5E126 and number 3XH42. None of these will have approval for direct contact with food.
If you need an adhesive that is acceptable for incidental contact, it is advisable to call Grainger. There may be an adhesive option, non contact cement that meets the requirements. The phone number is 1-800-323-0620.
