I am looking for a felt to make a washer to put on a rotating and oscilating shaft. The washer is supposed to sit before a seal to help stop oil from leaking. The inside diameter of the washer needs to be 1.25" and the outside needs to be 2.00". We need the Felt to be able to absorb oil without losing any of its properties or having it breakdown prematurely. For thickness I would have to say it needs to be between 1/8” to ¼”, and maybe even 3/8”. I don’t have an exact number on that yet, but I can tell you that the duty cycle would be about 18hrs a day, and the primary function would be as a seal/wiper/ absorbent. Do you have felt that could work for this application?
