Hello, I have a problem finding this spring loaded pin or button that one finds on an ink pen. This button cannot lock when depressed, however it should simply spring up and down. The major diameter of the spring loaded section should not exceed 7/16" and hopefully have a flange so it will "stop" when it is pressed into aluminum. The button should have about 3/8" travel and have a domed or spherical end for a comfortable thumb push. Length of spring section 3/4" max. overall length about 1.25", and made of stainless.
If you, #Granger# don't have this mechanism, and know the name of it perhaps you could please e-mail me as I hope to buy in bulk.

Answer:
That is a very specific component/assembly that we do not have in our system. I would refer to that as a spring cup assembly.

Answer:
"run" a hex nut up the thread. After you have cut the all-thread, file off the burr if there is one and run the nut off at the end you cut. The nut will realign the thread.
