Safety Slide Bar

I am building an electrical panel box with two breaker switches that are side by side, ten inches apart. The two must not be able to be toggle switched on at the same time. Do you know of a pre-manufactured sliding device that would prevent both switches from manually being turned on at the same time?

Answer:
I don't know the size of your breakers, for big breakers there is an interlock that we use for that. To switch power-city with power-generator, so the breakers will not be "on" at the same time, one "off" and the other "on", so we select power. Call Grainger to see they can help you, other idea is use a select switch, they are on different sizes and amps. Connect the "out" of each breakers to your "in" on the select switch. (in1 or in2) to out.

Answer:
Sorry Grainger doesn't sell Tyco parts. Check your part number may be is PT5F21E-KE and not PT5F21E-FE This part is a switch for power tools, this part is discontinue, the number that you have is only a Tyco number not the part number that you need, if this is a power tool switch call the dealer of the power tool and ask for this part or look his catalog to find the part number.

I need more information, the size of the wire depend on the load, AWG #10 for 30A, AWG#12 for 20A and AWG #14 for 15A. If the wire is too long, you have to go to a bigger size.
