Rone,

Size AWG #14 will do the job, it's hold 15A and you want 10A , but the best is AWG #12, it's hold 20A.
Do NOT use smaller size that AWG #14. Note that AWG # 12 is bigger size that AWG #14, it's has more capacity on AMP.
Grainger sell extension cords ready to plug and use, just select the one you want.

we cut holes in metal boxes and then put harness or cables thru the hole and want to protect them from getting cut on the metal box.
I have seen box assortments on line but would prefer to use grainger

buy oil seals and bolt them over the hole you cut with 3 self tapping metall screws: fast and looks totally professional as the oil seals come in different sizes.

We apologize; Grainger is not currently stocking rubber grommets with an ID of 2”-3”. However we do have a couple of similar products that may work for your application. Please look at Grainger item numbers 1LLJ8 and 1LLK1.

There are too many variables and varying applications and styles of waterproof switches that can be operated at 110VAC. Here are some factors that need to be considered when selecting a switch:

How many amperes (amps) does this switch need to carry?

Will this switch need to be horsepower (HP) rated? If so, by how much?

Do you need a single pole or double pole switch? A three pole?

Would you like a pushbutton? A toggle? A Rocker switch? A Rotary switch?

How will this be mounted? On an outlet box, or some sort of panel?

What color of switch do you need or want ?

Yo Pookie, did you check to see if you could use a footswitch like the ones on a power rodder for sewer? I know they are water proof and you may be able to get one through their parts dept. Just a suggestion!

Grainger has several step-up/step-down transformers in their catalog. Take a look at their catalog number 16V986. It's a 500 Watt unit at what appears to be a very reasonable price.
