Answer:
RIDGID drain clean out 'snakes' or cable have a special lock device welded to the tip. It will accept a proper sized clean out tool that slides onto this tip. you must depress the lock button that is in the center of the tip. slide the tool and center on the cable. check if the lock button (or pin) pops back into the tool. Double check the tool is secured on the cable. You don't want it to slip off into the drain. There is a release key that looks like a heavy pointed wire with a loop on the end to hold on to. this is inserted into the tool's base which has a hole and wiggle the key around to feel it press all the way through the base (watch your palm - don't make a hole in your hand) the tool can be slid off. Reminder; always start with the small 'probe' first. people tend to go for the big auger but it clogs up with debris and it's had to push through if you don't have the water flowing to remove all the gunk build up. clear the line first then follow up with a bigger tool. use lots of water to keep flushing out the debris or use hot water if it's heavy with grease. utube; ukeboy57

Answers

Answer:
5WNZ9 Elbow, 90 Deg, 1 1/4 In Slip, PVC, Sch 40
or
5WPD5 Elbow, 90 Degree, 1 1/4 In SlipxSpigot, PVC
then connect with
5WPJ6 Adapter, 1 1/4 In SlipxFNPT, PVC, Sch 40
the 5WNZ9 elbow would be a better choice with a short piece of pipe to connect with the adapter as the 5WPD5 would be harder to find or replace (later on)
