Answer:
Grainger has an amazing line of electric motors from 1/125 HP to 200 HP. Two examples of the motor in question are a 5K487(single phase) and a 2NKY6 (3 phase). Since there are so many more important factors that impact the purchase of an electric motor, give our Technical Product Support Team a call to ensure the selection is the correct one for you.

Answer:
When looking for a speed reduced 3 phase motor at a particular RPM, several considerations should be addressed, Do you want the ability to control or vary the speed? Do you want only the fixed speed mentioned or something close? Do you want the shaft to come out the front of the motor, or out the right or left side? And very importantly is this a constant torque application, or is it a variable torque application. (An example of that would be, constant: a certain amount of weight could be on a conveyor belt and regardless of the speed, the motor has to do the same amount of work. Then we have to measure that work, Variable: fan balde is on a motor, and the slower the motor turns the less work it does.)

Once these questions have been addressed, then the reduced speed 3 phase motor question can be answered.

Answer:
Yes, this has been done many times before. What is important is all of the nameplate information on the old 3 phase motor. Also, measure the shaft diameter and length. With that info, we can understand the details of the motor and have a good chance of finding a single phase motor for your table saw. Please contact Grainger's Product Technical Support Team with that information and we will assist you.

Answer:
We do not carry this particular motor. We do have a motor match section on Grainger.com that will allow you to take the specs of your unit and match it up to one of our motors. If you have a business account with Grainger, we can also contact the manufacturer direct to get pricing and availability on this unit. If you have further questions, please call us at 800-323-0620.

Answer:
The motor in your treadmill is an OEM motor, a motor made specifically for that treadmill. We may be able to get a quote for you on that motor through Mcmillan. We will not have any motors that would mount or operate correctly in your treadmill in stock.

Answers

Answer:
Since it is not advised to speed control AC gearmotors, we suggest a DC gearmotor that uses 120VAC to power the DC controller for it. That controller will be able to control the speed of the gearmotor as you describe. Please look at our 6ML57 gearmotor (rated at 5.83Ft/Lbs or 70In/Lbs)with our speed control 5JJ58.
