Answer:
Get the spray on acid cleaner that's made for car rims. It will say not for chrome, not for alloy, not for paint, not for anodized aluminum. It bubbles up like alca-selter then rinse with water. Aluminum will look new but will be dull, then polish with a good aluminum polish such as Mothers brand. The acid can also be bought at semi truck trailer parts outlets. It's also used to clean aluminum semi trailer side rails which get coated with exhaust smoke from diesel fuel. If it cleans that then it should make short work of your handrails.

8 inches of flood water was in the downstairs apartment after Hurricane Sandy. Sheetrock has been cut to 26 inches from floor. Insulation has been cut and removed. Wood studs and footers are wet and need to be cleaned. Can you recommend a product to kill any mold and prevent further mold and fungus?

Answer:
Chlorox Bleach then dry it with fans or a portable heater with a powerful blower attached. If any mold is still visible repeat as many times as needed. Then paint with a special paint that kills and prevents mold, This mold killing/anti-mold paint is often used for bathroom shower ceilings. I had mold that kept returning in my basement concrete wall. This paint stopped it. A year later it's still mold free.

Answer:
Yes. In the search box on Grainger.com you enter "coil cleaner" it will bring the different options that are available. As far as one that does not burn you nose, there is one that states it is green, environmentally friendly and non toxic, item #3CFP2. But it does not mention the smell.
