Answer:
We do carry AC products for manufactured housing. There are two products that are common. One is a packaged unit that mounts outside and is ducted in. The other is a split system designed to have a outside unit and a unit inside that mounts in the air handling unit. There are details we need to match the correct unit. You will want to call our HVAC Tech Team at 800-473-4643.

This is kind of a trick question. Most brands make units that can be used in moile homes. It mainly depends on the deminsions and application.

Answer:
You'll probably have to make your own. The manufactures rely on building parts that fail so you have to purchase the same poorly made parts again. I used a PVC sheet and stainless angle to make my own, never rust and easy to clean.

Your options are limited. A portable 12,000 btu unit runs off 120 volts and needs a 6 inch hole for the heat exhaust duct to vent outside. They run about $500.

Answer:
There are 2 main reasons for insulation on freon lines. On a regular residential system, operating in cool mode, the insulation keeps the freon in the large line around the same temperature from the evaporator coil (indoor coil) to the compressor. This is needed for the system to be properly charged with freon, and for the freon charge to remain balanced. When operating properly, the larger line (suction line) will feel cool to the touch while in cool mode. That cool line contains freon in a vapor form returning from the evaporator, where it arrived in a liquid form, to the compressor. It also helps cool the compressor. On a mini split system, both lines must be insulated. If the temp of the lines goes below the dew point outside, they will sweat like a glass of ice water sitting on the counter.

In my condo, there is a air conditioning drip pan in the cieling, that is leaking. I think it needs a new pan. I got it replaced 2 years ago and it looks like it s corroded again. I am thinking to put a plastic one this time so it won't corrode again. Please let me know if you guys do this kind of work. Pan dimension are approx: 50"x12"x2".
Please let me know.

Answer:
Plastic is preferred. My question is why is your secondary pan filling up with water? The air handler drain pan has a primary drain and a secondary outlet. When the primary drain is clogged the water level rises and comes out of the secondary drain. I have installed float safety switches on the secondary outlet to shut off the unit and prevent water damage to the area. If this pan is a secondary, have your problem fixed first. Grainger does not do on site work.

It has no frame--just a piece of this material that you can vacuum or wash. I found an old ac that had this material w frame. So I cut it to fit. But I need a new one.
I called Whirlpool and this little piece of material costs $52.00.
I was thinking that maybe someone sold this type of material for other various uses.
