Answer:
We have to get rid of glue off our equipment all the time. We mostly use a Orange de-greaser or you can W40. The acid or petroleum in the W40 eats the glue.

Answer:
Grainger has contacted the product supplier and has been advised by them of the following: Please call Grainger at 1-800-323-0620, as we will need more information about the application. We will need to know the conditions the adhesive will be exposed to, as well as the type of rubber (EPDM, neoprene, natural rubber, etc.). This will be very important, as not all adhesives will work with different types of rubber or rubber like materials.

I just got duped on an eBay purchase, which has a lot of cracked & discolored damage to the sealant all along the inside edges of the backpack. Do you have any sort of spray or tape that will adhere & cover up this mess? Preferably black (color of the bag), though the original sealant is clear.

Answer:
I had a backpack like that once. The clear plastic/urethane coating eventually gets hard and cracks off the cloth. I managed to wash it in very hot water several times (inside out) and removed all of the old coating. Then I applied several coats of water repellant to the outside which worked well.

First step is remove all of the old coating which may be more work than the bag is worth.
