Overview on the Federal Fluorescent Lamp Ballast Ruling, Effective April 2005
Effective June 30, 2010 – The Department of Energy (DOE) ballast ruling prevents the sale and manufacture of some magnetic ballasts for T12 lamps. Below is a list of electronic ballasts for T8 and T12 lamps now available for new fixtures or to replace magnetic ballasts that do not meet the DOE Ballast Ruling.
