Good news! New enhancements have gone into effect for the Account Defaults options
located under Your Account.
Streamline Your Ordering: The Account Defaults established
by your company through your local Grainger branch are now effective online. Your
company uses these defaults to process Grainger orders in a smooth and timely
manner.
Check out the new online defaults
now available for all orders placed by your account.
Greater Convenience
Activating Account Defaults either online or at a Grainger branch ensures
that all future orders placed by your account will require the same defaults,
regardless of how you choose to order from Grainger.
When placing your orders online, make sure to check for any new
fields your company may have set up or changed. To view or change
your Account Defaults, log on and go to Your Account>Account Administration>Account
Defaults.
NOTE:Only Full Rights Users can change Account Defaults. Changes requested online
will be approved and processed within 2 business days.
New
Online Defaults Help You Stay Organized P.O. Line Number
Check this option to require that a line number from your Purchase Order be entered
for each item ordered by your account. This number will appear on your packing
slip and invoice for easy reference.
Your Part Number
Check this option to require that your internal part number be entered for each
item ordered by your account. This number will appear on your packing slip and
invoice, and may be saved to a Personal List where it would be sortable.
Your Item Notes
Check this option to require that internal notes, which expedite order processing
within your company, be entered for each item ordered by your account (i.e., "Charge
to Dept. 100"). These notes will appear on your packing slip and invoice, and
may be saved to a Personal List.
You may also choose whether or not to Show Prices on Packing Slip for all
orders placed by your account. And, a new field will notify you if your company
has a Tax Exempt Certificate on File.
