Occupational Noise Exposure

According to NIOSH, up to 30 million American workers or 20%, may be at risk from hazardous noise on the job. As an employer your first goal is to apply engineering controls to eliminate the noise, if that is not possible, it is essential to limit the noise exposure or implement a Hearing Conservation Program.

Crystalline Silica

Silica exposure remains a serious threat to nearly two million U.S. workers. The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) reports that each year more than 250 people die from silicosis, and hundreds more are disabled. OSHA initiated a National Emphasis Program to identify and reduce or eliminate the health hazards associated with occupational exposure to crystalline silica. Grainger can help you prepare for these inspections so you can maintain compliance.
