Grainger has the products and expertise to help prepare for and recover from tornados.
The most important thing you can do to protect yourself, your workers and your business from tornado damage is to prepare in advance. Grainger has the products and expertise you need to be ready for emergencies. When an emergency happens after business hours, call 800-CALL-WWG and we will
open a branch to help you--even nights and weekends (a $50 fee may apply). |
|
Before and during a tornado
• Monitor radio or television for weather updates. |
• Look for dark, greenish sky,
hail, and large, dark, low-lying
clouds (particularly if rotating). |
• Listen for a loud roar, similar
to a freight train. |
• If you see these danger signs,
take shelter immediately. |
• Go to the basement or the lowest
part of the building. |
| • Follow instructions of local authorites. |
| • Stay away from windows. |
| • Get under a piece of sturdy furniture such as a workbench or heavy table and hold on to it. |
