Your Feedback Matters

Grainger.com is currently conducting research to improve the online purchasing experience for our customers. Over the next few months, you may be asked to take part in a survey while visiting the site. We are asking for your help by providing us with specific feedback so we can improve your site experience. Your feedback will be anonymous and used for research purposes only. Below are some questions you may have about the survey.

Why do you have a survey on grainger.com?
As part of our regular efforts to improve grainger.com, we want to get your feedback on how we can improve the site to make your job easier. Have trouble completing the registration process? Were you satisfied with the checkout process? Was the Help section truly helpful? This is an easy way to share your experiences so we can make changes to the site according to your feedback and direction.

What does the survey look like?
If you are one of the randomly selected visitors invited to take the survey, you will see the following invitation appear during your visit to grainger.com.

How often will I receive the survey on Grainger.com?
After you complete the survey, you will not be invited again for at least 90 days.  

How do I take the survey?
When you are invited to take the survey, simply click Yes, I'll help. You will then be asked to download a small file onto your computer that will help us know what questions to ask you. After completing the download and answering a few introductory questions, you wil browse and interact with the site as you normally would. Upon leaving the site, you will be prompted with an exit survey asking questions specific to your site visit. You will also have the option to receive an email survey in 2 days to answer some follow-up questions about your site experience.

Why do I have to download a file to take the survey?
In order to take advantage of the technology provided by the survey, you will be asked to download a small file (called WebIQ Technology Engine) after accepting the survey invite. The file allows for the presentation of appropriate questions on the survey to gather the most relevant feedback about your site visit.  After taking the survey, the WebIQ file will no longer function. 

Please note: Some visitors will not be able to execute the download due to certain browser settings. 
In that event, you will be notified and directed back to Grainger.com.

What will Grainger do with feedback from the survey?
The feedback you provide will be combined with that from the other respondents to provide us with anonymous, aggregate results. The results will help us identify future online enhancements that will
improve your online experience. 

How can I opt out of the survey?
We can appreciate that not everyone wants to take a survey.  In that case, simply click No Thanks and the survey will not appear again unless you delete your computer’s cookies. If you’d prefer to take the survey on a future visit to Grainger.com, just click Ask Me Later.

Note: This is a cookie-based survey. If your computer’s cookies are deleted, the survey invite may appear again on a future site visit.

Who is Usability Sciences?
Usability Sciences is an experienced online survey company we are partnering with to collect your feedback. They will receive your anonymous responses and tabulate the feedback to help us make the best decisions on what site improvements should be made.
