| Mentor Program
The Diversity Leadership Council has developed an internal Mentor Program to assist in the growth, development and retention of talent.
Employees are matched with senior leaders to help them develop an understanding of what is required to become a leader in the company.
Tools for TomorrowSM Scholarship Program
Grainger and the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) have partnered to promote the Grainger Tools for Tomorrow scholarship program. Grainger has supplied scholarships to second-year technical education students in the fields of construction, electronics, welding and automotive. Upon successful completion of their program of study, each of the scholarship winners is awarded a tool kit with which to begin a professional career.
Diversity Training
Grainger offers diversity training for employees at the director level and above. The training, offered two times a year, is a full-day session taught by an external consultant.

I feel I am more influential and a much better leader in large part because of my time with my mentor. I've also gained a greater appreciation for our leadership team at Grainger. If he is any indication of the caliber of people we have leading this company, then I feel very confident in our future and I'm proud to be associated with the Grainger team.
