A spring pin is a hollow, split dowel pin that exerts uniform outward pressure when fitted into a nut or shaft hole. Also called a roll pin, the spring pin withstands side loads and rotational friction, making it ideal for securing shaft and axle connections. Spring pins are also easy to insert and remove.
