A reduced shank drill from Grainger helps applications that require a drill bit with more strength and rigidity. A reduced shank drill resists abrasions, has better accuracy, and allows up to 30 percent more speed than standard high-speed bits. A reduced shank drill has a smaller diameter at the shank than at the tip, which allows a larger hole to be drilled using cutting tools with smaller chuck sizes.
