Grainger carries a wide selection of masonry nails for use with concrete and brick. A masonry nail features a flat head but is thicker, fluted and made of hardened steel. Choose nails long enough to penetrate solid concrete ¾" to 1" deep, and 1-1/4" deep for brick and concrete block. When attaching wood to concrete, first drill nail holes through the wood to keep it from splitting. Make the holes slightly narrower in diameter than the thickness of the nails.
