| Application |
|
For Oil, Gas or Coal Fired Systems in Commercial and Industrial Applications
|
| Function |
|
Designed to Monitor the Fan Housing Pressure
|
-
In-Line Draft Inducers
-
Provide positive draft for smokepipe to aid proper exhaust of combustion gases.
-
Draft inducer is mounted to vertical, horizontal or inclined breeching between a barometric draft control (if installed) and as near a chimney as possible when vent system terminates through roof. Useful when restricted boilers and furnaces, poor chimneys or negative pressures in the building prevent proper exhaust of combustion gases. Aluminized steel housing and wheel, motor heat shield, oversized conduit box. Variable draft control permits adjustments to individual application requirements. 115V, 60 Hz. For Nos. 4C730 and 4C731, CSA listing does not apply unless used with No. 4C725 fan proving switch. Nos. 4C730 and 4C731 have screw attachment only, no fastening bands.
-
Uses:
Great for oil, gas or coal fired systems in commercial and industrial applications. Not for use in sidewall venting or wood burning applications.
-
Interlock Controls
-
To satisfy national mechanical codes, draft inducers must be interlocked with burner circuits.
-
Fan Proving Switch
-
Monitors pressure within the inducer housing.
-
Draft Inducer Selection Guide
-
The performance table shows typical capacities for inducers when mounted on pipe sizes shown, where moderate amounts of mechanical draft induction is needed. For more severe applications requiring higher static pressures, a reduction in pipe size or a larger inducer may be required. Heating capacities shown are for 1000 BTU per cu. ft. of natural gas and for 139,000 BTU per gallon #2 fuel oil.
