The frame consists of 5 cross supports (many have only 4) which are welded with heavy beads. The tubular steel frame is just over 3/4” square and the thickness of the steel measures out to approximately .086 thousands of an inch (using a digital caliper) which is very thick compared to another name brand creeper I bought for comparison which measured out to only .048 thousands of an inch. The headrest has 4 adjustments (not 6 as advertised on some websites) and the hinge on the headrest spans over 8-1/2” making it very sturdy in comparison to the aforementioned name brand creeper which flexes very easily because the hinge on it was only 4” wide. There are six swivel casters with 14 ball bearings on each caster that are tightly pressed on and the wheels are 2-1/2 inches round and a surface contact of 5/8” and they appear to be heavy duty as well as the mounting bolts that hold them on (again in comparison to the other creeper I bought). The thickness of the plywood is a generous 5/8” compared to the name brand which was only 1/4”. The cushion thickness is slightly more than 1”and is fairly comfortable to sit on and the padding thickness of the headrest is 1-3/4”. The vinyl material is typical of all other creepers out there and should hold up well. The unit without the trays weighs 18.2 lbs. compared to the other creeper which weighed only 11.4 lbs. The metal trays are a really nice feature and have the same powder coated epoxy finish as the frame which is not as pretty as the gloss painted creepers out there BUT it is more durable and is easier to touch up with flat paint if scratched. This creeper has a load capacity of 250 lbs. and I have tested it to its limit and it has no flexing in the frame whatsoever. The drop rail frame is a nice design because you have room to move your shoulders and elbows. What more can you ask for in a top notch creeper which should last a lifetime. It costs a bit more than some creepers but remember the old cliché: You pay for what you get.</span> August 1, 2012<meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2012-08-01" /></div> </div><!--end-reviews--> <script type="text/javascript">document.getElementById('BVRRReviewsSoiSectionID_1MZJ3').style.display = 'none';</script></div><!--begin-pagination--><div id="BVRRSimplePagerID" class="BVRRPager BVRRSimplePager"><div class="BVRRPagerColumn BVRRSimplePagerColumn BVRRCurrentPage"><span class="BVRRNumber BVRRFirstRowNumber">1</span>-<span class="BVRRNumber BVRRLastRowNumber">1</span> <span class="BVRRSeparatorText">of</span> <span class="BVRRNumber BVRRTotalNumber">1</span></div><div class="BVRRPagerColumn BVRRSimplePagerColumn BVRRPreviousPage"></div><div class="BVRRPagerColumn BVRRSimplePagerColumn BVRRNextPage"> </div></div><!--end-pagination--> </div></div>
