It has a nice bright white beam, unlike the led lights that you can't identify between white and yellow wires under it's lighting. It's brighter than normal torches and Pelican is a good brand name. What I don't like about it is the fact you have to screw the lens cap down to get the light to come on instead of a switch. It also crushes the the end of the battery(and no I'm cranking down on the cap to get the light to come on) resulting in the light not working effectively. Kind of like those flashlights in monster/horror movies, craps out when you need it most.
