The problem with Makita was the 1.5a battery causing the drill to get hot due to Low amp creating heat. So I purchased the 3.0a battery and it doesn't get hot like the smaller battery made happen. I just recently bought the milwaukee and it too comes with small battery so by experience I will be purchasing the higher amp battery to save drill from overheating. Beautiful drill and I am giving it equal performance as the Makita.</span> March 8, 2013<meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2013-03-08" /></div><div id='15110147' itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review"><meta itemprop="itemReviewed" content="Cordless Drill/Driver Kit, 18.0V, 1/2 In." /><span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating">Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">1</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span></span> by <span itemprop="author">nops5614</span><span itemprop="description"> Thought Milwaukee was the Pro's tool. Couldn't be more unhappy with this drill. The battery life is pathetic, might get a few 1/4&quot; inch holes drilled if your lucky before it dies...also during the drilling, the motor gets extremely hot, to the point where you can't even hold on to it....last straw was the clutch going out, we only used this drill for about 3 months, for light to medium duty jobs....mostly wood drilling and screw driving....threw it in the trash...will not purchase this brand again</span> February 11, 2013<meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2013-02-11" /></div><div id='13103307' itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review"><meta itemprop="itemReviewed" content="Cordless Drill/Driver Kit, 18.0V, 1/2 In." /><span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating">Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">4</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span></span> by <span itemprop="author">bgdoorz</span><span itemprop="description"> i have a garage door company and about 18 months ago, i bought a kit locally for 189 bucks. The kit included the drill, impact tool, two batteries and a charger. The impact slows a little over time, but the batteries charge real fast and after many drops off the ladder, the drill still works great. If you need a kit for medium use and can find it for that price, grab it. i bought three kits and they've done the job so far....</span> November 26, 2012<meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2012-11-26" /></div><div id='8088754' itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review"><meta itemprop="itemReviewed" content="Cordless Drill/Driver Kit, 18.0V, 1/2 In." /><span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating">Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">1</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span></span> by <span itemprop="author">IndPurchasingMan</span><span itemprop="description"> Would only recommend this drill for light use. Biggest mistake ever. The battery will allow you to drill maybe 6 holes in 1/4&quot; steel before it goes dead, if you're lucky. The power of the drill itself is nothing to write home about either. About half-way through a hole it will start to bog down and gets extremely hot.
