The problem with Makita was the 1.5a battery causing the drill to get hot due to Low amp creating heat. So I purchased the 3.0a battery and it doesn't get hot like the smaller battery made happen. I just recently bought the milwaukee and it too comes with small battery so by experience I will be purchasing the higher amp battery to save drill from overheating. The impact slows a little over time, but the batteries charge real fast and after many drops off the ladder, the drill still works great. Biggest mistake ever. The battery will allow you to drill maybe 6 holes in 1/4&quot; steel before it goes dead, if you're lucky. The power of the drill itself is nothing to write home about either. About half-way through a hole it will start to bog down and gets extremely hot.
