We let them run continuously at max temp setting, and move the cans in front of the nozzle to do the work. The guns perform well in this application.BUT:The Master heat guns ALL have the same glaring WEAKNESS when used in a production mode. There is a thermal breaker in the motor windings that opens up and stops the motor when it thinks it's getting too hot, but DOESN'T interrupt the power to the heating element. The result is that the motor stops and the element IMMEDIATELY burns out.So to be a PRACTICAL tool, you need to go in and take the thermal switch OUT of the circuit.
