It was accurate right out of the box and the cuts were precise. I have already used it about 40 hours cutting trim, 1/4 round, crowne molding and treated 1x6 boards. I was considering between this, a Craftsman, and a Ryobi and this one seemed to be more sturdy and had a five year warranty which is what finally sold me all things considered. Since mine is still new I can't speak to the longer term durability yet, but I have not found anything that looks as though it is weak or poorly engineered and prone to failure.
