For the $100 street price, they gave me a musical experience that compared to my $10,000+ all-tube home system.I'm listening to hi-res digital files on a Macbook Pro retina with an Audioquest Dragonfly DAC/amp as well on an Iphone 5.The caveat: I had first bought a pair of Etymotic MC-5s as an impulse buy before a trip. I liked them a lot and they convinced me that they HF-5s would be worth the upgrade.They were except...none of the supplied tri-flange tips gave me a good seal.
