I got it for around a hundred dollars, plenty enough for a small motor and some plastic. But it's gone through two winters so far and the fan is still quiet. We have an open floor plan for four of our 7 rooms and two baths, and with outside air at very low humidity up here at 9000', and inside air around 15% at best without it, I turn it on and in a day or so we're around 30% on a mid level setting, just about right without running water down the walls. It goes through 5 gallons/day. That effiiciency drops when it needs filter cleaning. I'd recommend it if you find a decent price.
