These things last for a few years then cut out. They build 'em with little holes that allow bugs to get in there and burn up the contacts, and gum up the works a little bit. I always get the ones with the low-pressure cut-out to save the pump from burning out when the supply water runs low, though power failures can mean manual reset will be necessary on occasion.
