I've been using only Bosch cordless power tools like this drill. There is nothing harder on tools than teenage boys. I've had a cordless set for six years. There's been no mechanical failures and only one battery has had to be replaced. The tools are worth their weight in gold and I would never consider buying anything else for students to work with. I try to buy the best tools, which are the ones they'll be using when they are in the work force. April 17, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by wing REplaced my 10yr+ Dewalt 14V Same weight but much more power and versatile. This drill is no exception to that quality.I use mine for some drilling but it receives most use as an ice augur for ice fishing. I can drill 50 or more holes in medium thick ice without changing batteries. It has NEVER let me down and this is my third season with the drill and the batteries. I absolutely LOVE it! The drill is everything I would expect from a High quality company like Bosch. I had to take back to the store my previous more expensive "high end" lithium ion drill from another very well known manufacturer because it didn't have enough torque to operate the drill for even one complete hole in the ice.
