The swiveling front wheels make it very easy to maneuver, and the speed adjustment makes it easy for any of my staff to operate the mowers comfortably. The overall features and construction are very high quality. We have had a couple of issues losing the keepers from the height adjustmant pins on the front wheels, but overall are very happy with the performance of these mowers. After 2 years using them, I am impressed enough that when my home mower finally wears out, I am planning on getting one of these for myself. August 9, 2012

Rated 2 out of 5 by Andy Won't buy again I bought an ariens because the snowblower I had was great and I heard good things about the brand. I now live in the South and am mowing zoysia grass. I have the Kawasaki engine. The engine is very hard to start. I've already had to replace a bearing in a rear wheel (under warranty). I'm also disappointed in the mulching ability. Also, this mower is much heavier than most others. It wouldn't be a big deal (it's self propel) but it barely hauls itself through the grass. Let's just say I'm in much better shape after buying this mower. The swivel wheels are gimmicky and you wouldn't need them except the mower is so heavy it is nice to have them-just as long as you have no hills in your yard. If you do, you'll be fighting the mower and the wheel lock on it is useless. It needs to lock both wheels. Oh, and the self propel speed selector sticks. I had to jimmy it to get it to work. I'm pretty surprised with all the positive reviews here. I hope it's not a case of "I just dropped way to much on this mower, I can't possibly not like it." I've already tried selling it to buy something else but I can't get any money for it. Looks like I'm stuck with it. June 23, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by William Great mower will built. This mower is the best that I ever had and will tell all about how well it works. Used the first for 25 years. Bought my first Ariens classic mower around 1986 and used it until 2011. Replaced the engine and transmission wheel one time.Bought a new Ariens classic with the swivel wheels. Basically the same mower with the Kawasaki engine. Engine is much more powerful than the old Tecumseh but is seriously heavier. I have a sloped yard and this mower wants to go down hill sideways on the steepest of the slopes. Also, tires are not wide enough to support the weight of the engine. I would have expected the design engineers at Ariens to know better than to bolt a big engine on the same frame and drive train.Never the less, I would probably buy this mower again. It's still a great mower. June 12, 2012

Rated 4 out of 5 LM21 SW This is the second Ariens product I have purchased (I also own an Ariens Snow blower), and I am very happy with both.
