The heated handles seemed to be an unnecessary luxury, but they were very much appreciated in the colder weather. The machine threw both light and heavy snow well. I have a 30' X 50' driveway and a 300' long road just to get to the town street. It took several hours but I cleared my driveway and made a path 10' wide by 300' long to get to the town street and then cleared my neighbors driveway. This machine paid for itself in just one storm. After looking at it at the dealer it looked well build so i bought it. It throws snow as advertised, and really shows it's power when the snow is wet. All the controls are easy to use and rugged. Other brands have joy sticks and such for controls. That's ok when you are playing video games, not snowblowing.
